He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brown and Ida C. Ott Brown; his former wife Faye R. Brown; and his siblings, Linda K. Peck, Larry Brown and Robert Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Johns Brown; his children, Brian Brown (Vicki) of Ambridge, PA, James Brown, Jr. (Marcia) of Cranberry Twp, William Brown (Christina Walker) of Clarion, PA and Ida Catherine Brown of Shippenville, PA; and his stepdaughters, Mary Anne Hajzer (Mike) of Snowshoe, WV and Becky Anderson (Joe) of New Cumberland, WV. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
