He was predeceased by: his parents, William Russell Aughton and Mildred "Belle" Aughton (Heeter); and his siblings, Catherine "Trink" Crawford, James "Jim" Aughton and William "Bill" Aughton.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Aughton (Snyder); his son Harold S. Aughton (Cheryl Aughton); his granddaughter Gabriella Aughton; his sisters-in-law, Janice Aughton and Doretha Aughton; and his nieces, Cindy Heldman (Aughton) and Lori Lynn Haren (Aughton). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 8 nephews/nieces.
