With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter C. Somers of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 22, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Duane and Bettie J. Somers (Priem); and his son Robert Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Somers of Shippensburg; his daughter Charity Fry (Colby) of Shippensburg; his grandchildren, Stacey Fetterhoff (Matthew Day), Megan Shoemaker (Owen Dechene), Andrew Fry and Mia Fry; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Zachary and Kylee Fetterhoff; and his siblings, Brian K. Somers (Gaye) of Orrstown, Larry D. Somers (Christine) of Lake Mead, PA and Pamela D. Orr of Chambersburg.
