With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Barbara Buchter of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, born in Maspeth, New York, who passed away on May 18, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Engesser and Rose Engesser (Thomas); her husband Egon O. Buchter; and her sister Helen Lenhart. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Buchter (Rita) of Shippensburg, Ronald E. Buchter of Long Island, NY, Richard Buchter of Chambersburg and Randy E. Buchter (Jennifer) of Long Island, NY; and her sisters, Marion Haller of Dover, DE and Pat Morris. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
