He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grimes and Stella Davis Grimes; his siblings, Ralph, Bill Grimes and Genevie Shibley; and his granddaughter Bonni Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Arlene" Danner Grimes; and his children, Perry Grimes (Tracy), George Grimes (Dawn), Christine Stine (Russell) and Ovetta Sheaffer (Alfred). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; multiple great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
