He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul G. Swartz and Frances E. Swartz (Dunlap); his wife Virginia Lee Dellinger; his grandson Aaron Hock; his great grandchild Noah Swartz; and his siblings, Martha Spear, Betty Young, Mae Holtry, Paul Swartz and Janet Arnold Mose.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth P. Swartz of Shippensburg, Kathy Swartz Hock (Douglas) of Coudersport, Timothy A. Swartz (Dawn) of Mechanicsburg, Loriann Swartz Hock (Randall) of Carlisle and Tamela Swartz Fogal (Robert) of Shippensburg; and his sister Joyce Bender of Shippensburg. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren.
