He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry David and Martha Smith Coldsmith; his former wife Dora Ellen Helm Coldsmith; his wife Dorothy Louise Creager Coldsmith; and his siblings, William Coldsmith and Isabelle Butts.
He is survived by: his children, John A. Coldsmith, Jr., Debra Rouzer (Russell), Frank Coldsmith, Samuel Coldsmith of Hagerstown, MD and Paul A. Coldsmith (Tammy); his brother Irvin Coldsmith; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Dustin and Brandon Coldsmith.
