James R. Taylor Obituary
The memory of James R. Taylor (Shippensburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 12, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl O. and Zelma E. Taylor (Kline); and his brother William Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Kay Taylor; his children, Debra (Richard Golden) of Odessa, FL and Jeffrey Taylor of Denver, CO; and his grandchildren, Charley Golden, Riley Golden, Benjamin Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Anna Taylor and Lauren Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church (135 Middle Spring Rd, Shippensburg, PA 17257). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Florida.
In honor of Jim's longstanding dedication to K–12 education, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to the Chambersburg Area Education Foundation in support of the James R. Taylor Memorial Scholarship.
