He was predeceased by: his parents, George D. Porter and Edith M. Holtry Porter; his wife Janice Mary Davis Porter; and his siblings, Galen, Robert Porter and Evelyn Perry.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan L. Shroyer (Randall); his grandsons, Eric W. Jones and Scott M. Shroyer (Tammy); his great grandchildren, Erica L. Jones (Ben Ile) of Shippensburg, Amanda C. Schuster of Shippensburg, Danielle Strakonski of Shippensburg and Brady J. Jones of Shippensburg; his brother Gary Porter (Helen) of Palm City, FL; and his close friend Mary Ann Fogelsonger. He is also survived by six great-great grandchildren.
