He was predeceased by: his parents, Ahimaaz Jack and Bertha Mabel May Mellott; his former wives, Betty Flory Mellott and Katherine "Kate" Garrett Mellott; and his brothers, Foster and Forest Mellott.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Mangle Mellott; and his children, Michele R. Brandt (Bud), Susan Robinson (Warren), Shanda L. Mellott (Rick Weller), Donna Swanger (Wade), CarolAnn Franklin (Ron) and Jack G. Mellott, Jr. (Sharon). He is also survived by nine granddaughters; one grandson; three great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
