It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys R. Horst (Shippensburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George M. Diehl and Hazel R. Diehl (Myers); her husband David C. Horst; and her siblings, Grace Mackey, Dorothy Zullinger, Esther Pugh, George and Harold Diehl.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Gayman (Keith) of Davenport, IA; her granddaughters, Emily Piette (Owen) of Ainnsworth, IA and Erin Taft (Scott) of Coralville, IA; her great grandchildren, Gwen of Ainnsworth, IA, Gretta of Ainnsworth, IA, Anna of Ainnsworth, IA and Cora Piette of Ainnsworth, IA; and her sister-in-law Shirley Diehl of Orrstown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. (112 W King St, Shippensburg, PA 17257). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at the Parklawns Memorial Gardens (3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201).
