It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Kipe of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, born in Woodsboro, Maryland, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl W. Kipe and Daisy B. Sprenkle Kipe; and his siblings, Daisy Altland, Nona Barnes, Mary Kipe, Shirley Kipe, Samuel Kipe, Anna Helfrick, Richard Kipe, Pearl Friese, Ben Kipe, Charlie Kipe, Janet Wenger and Harry Kipe.
He is survived by: his wife Fern Kipe; his sons, Randy Kipe (Deborah) of Dillsburg, Rev. Garry Kipe (Kelly) of Chambersburg and Brian Kipe (Melissa) of York Springs; his stepsons, Jesse Murlatt of Camp Hill, Donald Murlatt, Sr. of Camp Hill, Gary Murlatt of Lewisberry and Jeffrey Murlatt of New Cumberland; and his siblings, Vaughn Kipe (Judy) of Chambersburg and Daniel Kipe (Leah) of Greenvillage. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
