He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Brindle and Nellie Brindle (Sanford); his wife Florence L. Cordell; his siblings, Fern Schwitzer and Dale Brindle; and his son-in-law Charles Pentz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Louann Brindle of York, Linda K. Piper (Wayne) of Shippensburg and Nancy S. Pentz of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Travis E. Piper and Jessica N. Pentz; his great grandchildren, Tamen and Amelia Piper; and his sister Stella Mears of Shippensburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 or the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168.
