He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robert and Gladys Hall Commerer; his wife Charlotte B. "Char" Brinkerhoff Commerer; his sister Linda Miller (Commerer); and his great grandchild Harper Marie Commerer.
He is survived by: his sons, Rodney Scott Commerer (Melinda) of Fayetteville and Loren Kip Commerer (Kristina); his grandchildren, Dylan Commerer (Cass), Ashley Simpson (Parker) and Tyler Commerer; his stepgrandchildren, Kayla Lynch, Kenzie Hall and Tyler Hall; his great grandchildren, Emma, Aubrey Commerer, Jasper Simpson and Callie Lynch; and his former wife Janet Rabuck.
