He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Shauf and Clay Hammer; and his brothers, Donnie Shauf and Walter "Rick" Shauf. He is survived by: his close friend Kathy Burkett (Finkenbinder); his children, Regina Keefer (Mike), David Shauf, Jr. (Alison Wentz), Wes Shauf (Rena Shore), Trevor Shauf (Ashley Myers) and Ashley Shauf Caldwell; his stepsons, Mike Burkett (Kelly Denison) and Ryan Burkett (Tess Hill); and his siblings, Charles Shauf of Greencastle and Ruth Shauf of Chambersburg. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
