He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Mae Varner (McDilda). He is survived by: his father Leroy E. Varner; his wife Kathryn MacKenzie; his daughter Kristyn Sama (Craig) of Lancaster; and his brothers, Greg Varner (Linda) of Carlisle and Kim Varner (Candy) of Chambersburg. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
