It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carroll Dean Bartle of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, born in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 31, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Wilmer and Sarah Ruth Bartle (Shoap); his former wife Joan L. Bartle (Clapsaddle); his son Gregory Dean Bartle; and his siblings, George R. Bartle and Naomi Shatzer.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bartle (Wolfe) of Shippensburg; his children, JoAnn Elisabeth Whitmore (Donald) of Chambersburg and Douglas Dean Bartle of Chambersburg; his stepdaughter Amber Beckering (Matthew) of Fayetteville; and his siblings, Jaye M. Bartle, Ruby C. Kessinger and Joyce Brown. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
