He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Alvarado and Francisca Alvarado (Ortiz). He is survived by: his wife Teresa Alvarado (Gomez); his children, Ann Heine (Fred Heine), Jason Alvarado (Cristina Alvarado) and Mylanie Alvarado; and his grandsons, Derick Heine and Joaquin Alvarado.
