It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald M. Westley of Shillington, Pennsylvania, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Westley and Flora (Hinkle); and his siblings, Robert Westley, Ruth Wuenschel, Wilbur Westley and Earl Westley.
He is survived by: his wife Doris (Schwenk); his daughters, Donna M. Mendenhall (Dale) of Ione, WA, Diane M. Wertz (late Thomas) of Milton, DE and Debra M. Sowell (John) of Newport, NC; his grandchildren, Margot, Charles, Angela, Leann and Katie; and his great grandchildren, Gale, Ethan, Cayden, Karissa, Harrison, Owen, Lucy and Ashley (Ethan).
Viewing was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bean Funeral Homes- Sinking Spring (3825 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, PA 19608). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bean Funeral Home (3825 Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, PA 19608). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Laureldale Cemetery (4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605).
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Donald's memory to The Parkinson's Foundation.
