He was predeceased by: his parent William K. Hoopes; and his stepparents, Helen Hoopes and Wilber Longacre. He is survived by: his parent Claire Longacre; his wife Rebecca A. Hoopes; his children, Debbie Harkins, Cherie Rapposelli and Joseph Hoopes; his stepdaughter Katharine Levengood; his grandchildren, Jason Harkins, Joseph Harkins, Ashley Harkins, Amethyst Friel and Maura Rapposelli; his stepgrandson Anthony Levengood; his great grandchildren, Connor Harkins and Carter Harkins; and his sister Joan Brandau. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
