It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard W. Hoopes (Shickshinny, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 24, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent William K. Hoopes; and his stepparents, Helen Hoopes and Wilber Longacre. He is survived by: his parent Claire Longacre; his wife Rebecca A. Hoopes; his children, Debbie Harkins, Cherie Rapposelli and Joseph Hoopes; his stepdaughter Katharine Levengood; his grandchildren, Jason Harkins, Joseph Harkins, Ashley Harkins, Amethyst Friel and Maura Rapposelli; his stepgrandson Anthony Levengood; his great grandchildren, Connor Harkins and Carter Harkins; and his sister Joan Brandau. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
