He was predeceased by: his mother Elsie Lamoreaux Dorshefski; his stepfather John Dorshefski Sr.; and his brothers, Elwood Kivler (Jake) and David Kivler. He is survived by: his wife Susan Gensel Kivler; his children, Angelene Kivler (Michael Deppen) of Manheim, Jacqueline Savage (Eric Ginder) of Nazareth and Micah Kivler (Leandra) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Ernest Sheetz Jr. (Kristie, Hayden Sheetz), Carson Savage, Mason Kivler, Matthew Andreas, Cora Savage, Abigail Savage and Kyra Kivler; his great grandchild Riley Sheetz; and his sisters, Loretta Meyers of Benton, Joanne Schaefer of Tennessee, Sharon Carlson of Utah and Barbra Short of Florida.
