He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Matusek and Kathryn Matusek (Spernoga); his wife Angeline Geraci; his son John J. Matusek, Jr.; and his siblings, Elizabeth Matusek, Catherine Matusek, Mary Matusek, Irene Matusek, Ann Mitros, Joseph Matusek and Frank Matusek.
He is survived by: his daughter Jane Rutkoski; his daughter-in-law Alida Matusek; his grandchildren, John J. Matusek, III (Christine), Corey Rutkoski (Jessica), Karmen Brown and Kayla Worthington (Brittany); his great grandchildren, John J. Matusek, IV, Thea Matusek, Carson Rutkoski and Jamison Rutkoski; and his niece Mary Beth Elliott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
