He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nelson and Rita Nelson (Gregg); his sister Karen Jesse; and his nephews, William and Joseph Hisker.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda P. Nelson (Beaver); his sons, Ian (Cara) of Hunlock Creek and Kyle of Yachats, Oregon; and his siblings, Gregg Nelson of Vancouver, Washington and Vera Hisker (William) of Greensburg, PA.
