He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nelson and Rita Nelson (Gregg); his sister Karen Jesse; and his nephews, William and Joseph Hisker.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda P. Nelson (Beaver); his sons, Ian (Cara) of Hunlock Creek and Kyle of Yachats, Oregon; and his siblings, Gregg Nelson of Vancouver, Washington and Vera Hisker (William) of Greensburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Shickshinny, c/o Robert Ruckle, P. O. Box 13, Shickshinny, PA 18655.
