He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Cortese and Lucy Cortese (Busacco); his former wife Roseann Donahue; and his wife Louise Lohoski. He is survived by: his daughter Christine Cortese; his stepsons, Vince Wharton (Linda) and Michael Wharton (Karen); his grandchildren, Courtney, Dylan and Victoria Wharton; his sister Mary Grace DiGennari; his nephew David (Pat); his son Joseph (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Lindsey and Joseph Jr..
