He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Jones and Catherine M. Jones (Richardson); and his brothers, Ross Jones, Paul Jones, Lenus Jones and Dick Benner.

He is survived by: his sons, James "Jim" T. Jones, II (Tara) of Mechanicsburg and Christian "CJ" J. Jones (Amanda) of Williamstown; and his siblings, John Jones of Texas and Edith Jones of New Bloomfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
