He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Novak and Mary Novak (Navitsky); his former wife Betty Novak (Davidson); and his brothers, Stanley "Tookie", Albert and Matthew Novak.
He is survived by: his wife Jean (Wagner); his children, Joseph Novak and Cheryl Harvilla (Anthony); his stepchildren, Kim Furedi (Pam), Darrell Laudeman (Kelly) and John Gustites; and his stepgrandchildren, Brian Furedi, Tyler Laudeman (Emily), Danielle Laudeman and John Gustites Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
