She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Fahringer (Minnig) and Irvin Fahringer. She is survived by: her brother Shirt; her husband Michael Hughes; her son David (Michelle) of Australia; her grandchildren, Natasha, Jamie Lee and Qiana; and her sister Joan Swan of North Carolina. She is also survived by 7 step children and 23 step grandchildren, along with great grandchildren.
