He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sallmen, Sr. and Ruth Sallmen (Strong); his siblings, Paul, Jim, Fred, Bill Sallmen, Ruth Campbell, Mary Jane Barton, Martha Haza and Helen Mae Haza; his sons-in-law, Kerby Baird, Nick Coiro and Robert Anderson, Sr.; and his granddaughter Crystal Catale.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sallmen (Boughter); his children, John Sallmen, Jr. (Denise), Shirley Baird, Kimberly Catale (Brian), Cindy Sager (James), Tammy Anderson, Terri Coiro, Richard Sallmen (Shirley) and Joseph Sallmen (Michelle); and his siblings, Daniel Sallmen, Thelma Sallmen of Tucson, AZ and Carol Jo Gibson. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
