He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton J. Durst and Dorothy Mann Durst. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Perretti; his children, Kristin Durst (John Nickum) and Jason Durst (Dawn); his brother Chuck Durst; his siblings-in-law, Diane and Ken Kasenter; and his grandchildren, Addilynn, Jordan, Chase, Landon, Lila and Lucia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
