He was predeceased by : his father Michael T. McGauley. He is survived by : his mother Delmy E. McGauley of Shenandoah; his sister Joanna (Christian) of Philadelphia; and his aunts, Nelly of Burgos, Lorena (Mauricio) of Herrera, Lucy Murray of Florida and Flores.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Church (232 W Cherry St, Shenandoah, PA 17976). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Sgt. Johnny will be laid to rest following military honors on Friday, July 5th, at 10 am at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Disabled American Veterans at dav.org. in memory of Johnny.
