He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony R. Chuplis and Alberta Jean Chuplis (Johnson); his sister-in-law Judith Ann Chuplis; and his nephews, Robert and David Chuplis.

He is survived by: his siblings, Anthony "Chipper" Chuplis (Susie) of Shenandoah, Robert Chuplis of Girardville, Rita Pritula (John) of Lost Creek and Richard Chuplis (Angela) of Wapwallopen.
