He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. George and Myrtle A. George (Smeltzer); and his siblings, Homer George, Sam George, Everett George, Mildred McElhattan and Betty Blystone.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean George (King); his children, Michael Lloyd George of Shelocta and Judy D. Werfel (Graven) of Berlin, PA; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Michael, Felicia, Cheyenne, Corey and Lyle. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
