He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John August and Esther Machak (Sherbon); his children, Debbie Bier (Randy) and Ronald Joseph Machak (Alyce); his grandchildren, Julie Bier of Richmond, VT, Joseph Bier (Jodi), Joel Machak (Julie) and Logan Machak (Haily); his great grandchildren, Finley of Saxonburg, Henry of Saxonburg and Avery Bier of Saxonburg; his brother Harry Machak; his wife Janet Elizabeth Machak (Maryai); and his sister Mary Jane Watkins.
