He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Ellen Cessna Meyer; his parents, Murray William and Sarah Esther Walker Meyer; and his siblings, Albert Brink, Ed Meyer and Helen Riggle.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Meyer (Trish) of Woodruff and Michelle Filler (Brian) of Fountain Inn; his siblings, Robert Meyer of Shelocta, Dale Meyer of Gastown, Pennsylvania, Lois Yount of Kittanning and Darlene Heltion of New Kensington, Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren, Sam Romanie, Justin Romanie, Patrick Meyer, Steven Meyer and Megan Filler. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
The family request that flowers be omitted, and memorials may be made to Green Pond United Methodist Church, 168 Stoddard Mill Road, Gray Court, South Carolina 29645.
