He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Herbert Shermer and Barbara Ann Shermer (Basinger) of Punxsutawney, PA; his wife Cecile Dea Shermer (Galbreath); his children, Kristine (Joshua Kapusta) of Aliquippa, PA and Thomas Shermer of Greensburg, PA; his sister Shanda R. Blymiller (Robert) of Oakgrove, KY.; his grandchildren, Klarrissa and Emily Kapusta; his niece Samantha; and his nephew Derek Blymiller.
