He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry W. Lewis and Lois Mainwaring Lewis; his significant other Carla Burgason Lewis; and his siblings, Dean Lewis and Margaret Bloss (Peg).

He is survived by: his nephews, Lee, Dean Jr. and Reese Bloss; and his niece Cindy Studer.
