He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Shaffer and Dorothy Zeigler (Britton); and his sisters, Dorothy Gasper, Beverly Starcher and Jeanne Carr.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Shaffer (Kelly) of Sheffield, PA, Mark Shaffer (Christy) of Rochester, PA and Christian Shaffer (Lauren Lee) of Nashville, TN; his brother Randy Shaffer (Kim) of Rochester, PA; his grandchildren, Anthony, Kaytee, Karlee, Mark, Lydia, Jacob, Abby, Matt, Mandy, William and Stella; and his pet LuLu.
