He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Doverspike and Carrie Doverspike (Troup); his wife Bernice Clare Reed; his sons, Dewey Doverspike and Robert Doverspike; and his granddaughter Rena Lee Doverspike.
He is survived by: his son Gerald E. Doverspike (Jerry) of Sheffield; and his siblings, Helen Schreckengost and Glenn Doverspike. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
