He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Platt and Dolores K. Platt (Thinnes); his wife Constance M. Wilson; and his brothers, Joe and Paul Platt.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Platt (Shawn) of Tampa, FL, Linda Ziner (Richard), Bethel Park, Kenneth A. Platt (Lisa Scurto), Jeff Platt (Marcia), Brian Platt, Romney and Eric Platt; and his siblings, Dee Dee McCune, Pittisburgh (Diane Gollick) and Ronald Platt (Mary Ann). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
