He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram H. Merchant and Margaret A. Merchant (Engle). He is survived by: his son John J. Merchant (Niki) of Brookfield, Ohio; his grandchildren, Kenzie and Chase; and his siblings, Ron Merchant (Edna), Sherry Merchant of Sharpsville and Susan Schreckenghost (Dave) of Sharpsville. He is also survived by his extended family and close friends.
