He is survived by: his wife Beth Lynn Merrick (McDowell); his children, Shannon Kowacich (David) of Sharpsville and Joshua Merrick of Conneaut Lake; his brothers, Richard Merrick (Ilene) of Hubbard and Butch Merrick (Terri) of Mercer; and his grandchildren, Austin Spears, Ashley Spears, Kalem Kowacich and Elizabeth Kowacich.
