He is survived by: his mother Vernetta Rice (Shaffer); his uncle Raymond Shaffer; his sister Irene Coryea; and his nieces and nephews, Theresa Lundistrom (Aaron), Kimberly Zucco (Anthony), Ivan Basinger, Joseph Zucco and Iris Zucco.
