He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosalie "Leah" Frances Pontera (Scardina) and Samuel Anthony Pontera; and his sisters, Mary Ann Kollar and Corinne Schultz. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo (Church) of Sharpsville, PA.; his children, Mary Frances Hill (James Maury), Samuel Joseph (Bonnie Lorane), Lisa Marie Molinaro (Geoffrey Scott), Stephen Gerard and Sean Frances (Sherry); his grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Barendrecht (Arie), Tyler Frances Molinaro, Matthew James Hill, Samantha Josephine Gassner (Seth), Christopher Joseph Hill (Christie), Shelby Lorane Cioffi (Joseph), Sierra Isabella Pontera, Santino Frances James and Shannon Bellanca (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Myltreda Jensen (Mogens), Gloria Cagigas (Don) and Dr. James Kollar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude, St. Bartholomew's Preservation Fund, the Holy Name Society or a charity of their choice.
