He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Bortner (Miller) and Paul Edwin Bortner. He is survived by: his close friend Ruth Brashen; his daughters, Susanna Wiley of Sharpsville and Jennifer Bortner of Sharpsville; his brother Robert Bortner (Joyce) of Sharpsville; and his grandson Jacob Wiley of Key Largo, FL.
