He was predeceased by: his parents, Columba DeMatteis (Colatti) and Pasquale DeMatteis; his siblings, Anne Chiaro (Frank), Mary Dely (Con), Crescendo DeMatteis and Rudolph DeMatteis (Josephine); his parents-in-law, James DeJulia and Viola DeJulia; his brother-in-law Louis DeJulia (Rosemarie); and his daughter-in-law Sandy DeMatteis (Armaleine DeMatteis).
He is survived by: his wife Elvera DeMatteis (DeJulia); his pet Sofia; his children, Michelle Stenander (Mark) of Hermitage and Phillip DeMatteis of Farrell; his grandchildren, James, Chelsea Stenander, Shannon, John (Missy) and Tom Kratko (Megan); his great grandchildren, Callie, Wyatt Stratter, Tristan, Victoria Bremick, Laynie, Adyson and Fisher Kratko; and his sister-in-law Bonni DePofi (Saul). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
