We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2021, at the age of 71, Vernie Alberta Haag of Sharon, Pennsylvania, born in Oil City, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Leroy and Ida Mae Wise (Craft); her sister Twila Ann Edwards; and her former husband Richard Lee Oakes. She is survived by: her children, Lorraine McDonough (Alan) of Vienna, OH, Kacey Scott (Kenneth) of Hermitage and Richard Sliter (Viola) of Warren, OH; her stepdaughters, Sheila Haag Ottaviano of Florida and Melissa Haag Johnson of Grove City, PA; her grandchildren, Amber McDonough, Tyffani Eicher (Nick), Kenton Leroy Hanna, Jr., Cheyanne McDonough, Patrick McDonough, Christopher King, Matthew Summerfield, Kacey Lynn Sliter, Chelsey Scott, Cheyanne Johnson and Shane Surrena; her sisters, Pearl Cutwright of Mercer, Eileen Armstrong (William) of Mercer and Etta Irwin of Sharon; her former husband James L. Haag of Butler, PA; her pets, Tips and Tums; and her friends, Doretta Tarr, Paul Black and Janice Botts. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
