It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tanis Emerald Kennedy (Sharon, Pennsylvania), born in Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Tanis Emerald departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Tanis Emerald. Though Tanis Emerald may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband Brian; her daughters, Erin of Culpeper, VA and Keely (Aaron Keich) of Orange, VA; and her siblings, Lisa, Bunny and Bernie (Penni). She is also survived by her mother and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the J. Bradley McGonigle F. H. & Crematory, Inc. - Sharon (1090 E State St, Sharon, PA 16146). A reception will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mercer County Shrine Club (4201 Lamor Rd, Hermitage, PA 16148).
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe page, Tanis's Legacy: Empowering Students Dreams (https://www.gofundme.com), or asks for personal donations to help with medical expenses and to establish a foundation in Tanis' memory to provide scholarships for life skill programs, students pursuing careers in the field and support for local arts in the community.
