She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Mikis and Margaret Mikis (McMath); and her brother Steven "Skip" Mikis. She is survived by: her husband James Purfey; her son Stephen Purfey (Jessica); her grandson Mark Purfey; her daughter Courtney Purfey (Benjamin Donlow); and her grandchild Ariabella.
