She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Gabriel and Helen Lucille Batanian (Potts); her husband George H. "Bud" Alward; and her siblings, George "Jack", Ed, Harlan "Sonny" Batanian, James Batanian, Doris Magnotto, Sarah Seiner, Joan Kaszowski and Anna Marie Wirick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen "Kitty" Tarbell (Buck) of Edinboro, PA and Amy Walters (Rick) of Zanesville, OH; her siblings, Kitty Burns, Sharon, Patricia Potts of Worthington, OH and Floyd Batanian (Mary Lou) of Toledo, OH; and her grandchildren, Cassandra Hartless (Trevor) and Aaron Walters.
