He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick J. Dougherty and Francis Dougherty (Holiday); his son Lenny Dougherty; and his siblings, Francis "Boots" Burns, Mary Pfahles, Rev. Phillip Dougherty, Paul Dougherty, John Dougherty and Hubert "Mutt" Dougherty.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene M. Recheck; his children, Donna Szumlanski (Jim) and Leo Dougherty, Jr. (Tamara) of Union Twp; and his granddaughters, Chelsea, Leeia and Alyssa Dougherty.
